Greg Green
Pioneer of the Flipped Classroom Revolution. CEO & Founder of Flip Genius, LLC
Transforming education from lecture-based to active learning — impacting millions of students across 49+ countries.

Transforming Education from the Inside Out
Greg Green is an internationally recognized education innovator who created the first fully flipped high school in the United States at Clintondale High School in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Faced with a school rated among the worst 5% in Michigan — with 35% failure rates and a $5 million debt — Greg pioneered a radical approach: flip the classroom. Move lectures home via video, and transform class time into hands-on, teacher-guided active learning.
His breakthrough insight came from coaching Little League baseball: making technique videos for players to review at home transformed practice. He asked, “If it works for baseball, why not the classroom?”
Foundations Before AI
In today's AI-powered world, the flipped classroom is more relevant than ever. Before students can effectively leverage AI tools, they must first develop observable foundational skills.
Reading Comprehension
Deep understanding of texts builds the foundation for evaluating AI-generated content and identifying misinformation.
Critical Writing
Clear, structured writing ensures students can articulate ideas and craft effective prompts for AI systems.
Typing Proficiency
Fluent typing enables efficient human-computer interaction, essential for productive AI collaboration.
Problem-Solving
Independent analytical thinking ensures students use AI as a tool to amplify skills, not replace them.
The flipped model ensures students build core competencies through active learning and teacher guidance, so when they engage with AI, they're using it as a tool to amplify their skills — not replace them.

A Flipped School
“Sometimes Our Greatest Solutions Come from the Most Unlikely Places!?”
This book details Clintondale's transformation from one of Michigan's worst-performing schools to a nationally celebrated model of innovation. It offers practical, actionable guidance for educators ready to implement flipped learning in their own schools.
Also featured as a key case study in "Great at Work" by Dr. Morten Hansen (NYT Bestseller), exemplifying the principle of working smarter, not harder.
Stories of Transformation
“When Green announced flipped learning to students, they gave a standing ovation — signaling their desire to learn with technology and active engagement.”
“Green's success was achieved not by making teachers and students work longer hours, but by redesigning the educational process itself — exemplifying the principle of working smarter, not harder.”
“After 20 weeks, the flipped class outperformed the traditional class — and no student received lower than a C+. This despite having a higher proportion of at-risk students.”
“The flip is about pedagogy, not gadgets. Focus on the potential benefits and the underlying research before prioritizing technology.”
